Greetings, Data Wardens! In this first of our "Data Warden Fundamentals" video series, Spaceman Corey will be talking you through the fundamental difference between structured and unstructured data.

He will start with an overview of Syslog, a common data source, which is notorious for being unstructured despite "what they say". Spaceman Corey will then explain the difference between structured and unstructured data and the two strategies for collecting and analyzing data - structure when it's brought in and structure on read.

In this video, you will gain insight about the importance of structure in data management and why it matters through a step-by-step demonstration in our ELM Platform; as Gravwell operates using Structure On Read to capture and query unstructured data.
